You will be part of a small, dynamic hands-on team that prides itself with very high coding standards and development practices. We've adopted lean startup ideas from the start, share all of our data via public API and employ a 5-minute commit-to-production cycle. We're looking for outstanding engineers who are passionate about designing and delivering incredible user experiences that will revolutionize the way people manage their investments. We care deeply about standards-based markup that works in all major modern browsers.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop a portal where investment managers can easily manage their customers' assets as well their relationship with their customers
• Create groundbreaking visualization and analytics that allow customers to make informed decisions and understand their investments in real time
• Design and implement a streamlined shopping experience
• Collaborate with other team members to develop a visual recommendation engine

Requirements

• Intelligent and self-motivated
• Writes simple, elegant, cross-browser HTML/CSS and JS
• Familiar with Ruby on Rails or similar framework (Django, GWT, jQuery, YUI, PHP)
• Enjoys building projects from scratch (such as funnel metrics tools or A/B testing framework)
• Familiar with HTTP and the principles of RESTful design
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have's

• BS or MS in computer science or related field
• Keeps up with developing web standards and technologies
• Knowledge in minimizing site latency
• Experienced in browser automation
• Experience with agile, test-driven software development and continuous integration
