Mobile Lead @ exciting social search startup in SF
Our client is looking for a Mobile Lead to join our Agile development team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage ongoing design, development, and distribution of the company’s products for iPhone and other mobile operating systems. You will also be responsible for working with our engineering group of a dozen senior engineers to build out internal APIs and services to expand the functionality of our mobile offerings. The ideal candidate would have experience with building products for SMS as well.Client's company includes founders from more than a half-dozen successful startups, four AI Ph.D.s, and engineers from Silicon Valley's major technology companies. They build products that enable users to tap into the wisdom of their real-world social network. Their first offering takes on the problem of "subjective search" — finding information that is customized and relevant to your personal tastes, needs, and context. They are located in downtown San Francisco.
Required Skills:
- Experience programming and building web software
- Experience with creating websites optimized for mobile devices
- Experience with iPhone development
- Experience with design, marketing, and product management
- Experience in an agile development environment
Pluses:
- Knowledge of Ruby on Rails
- Experience building applications that tie into SMS
- Experience with multiple mobile operating systems
- Interest in metrics driven development
- Previous startup experience
