UxStation is seeking a Ruby on Rails Ninja for our client, an extremely profitable & high-growth social shopping startup:

Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal workshops on Ruby on Rails and related technologies best practices, tips, and techniques
• Work with management and engineering to evaluate and bring in new technologies and innovative functionality
• Participate in requirements gathering, application and database design, system and software process documentation, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our platform
• Work closely with other staff, such as business analysts, systems analysts, graphic artists, user experience designers, and sales and marketing professionals

Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails and best practices
• 4+ years of Ruby on Rails industry development experience
• Master of all things Internet & Web Apps
• Excellent OOA/OOD skills
• Strong data structures and algorithms skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) from design through maintenance
• Experience with command line environments (Linux / OSX)
• Highly motivated with a sense of urgency and accountability; strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering
• Strong desire to build a more ethical society

Pluses:

• Experience with MySQL or Oracle databases
• Experience with Agile and Feature Driven Development projects
• eRetail industry experience
• Prior startup company experience
