UxStation is looking for an accomplished design leader to create user experiences that will delight our client's customers.  You are  passionate about creating A+ software with usability and polish.  We are looking for someone who understands how to apply human  psychology to interaction design in order to engage users and encourage desired behaviors. You have mastered multiple design-related  skill sets, from wireframes to visual design and usability tests. Our client is an online platform that allows consumers to find great deals  on the web. The User Experience and Visual Designer will work on a diverse range of projects across web, mobile and social platforms.  

Job Responsibilities: 

• You will work closely with stakeholders to define and create designs that achieve business and user goals.  
• Design the UI architecture, interface, interaction flow and aesthetics of our products and services.
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, visual mockups and graphic assets.

• Design practices, particularly as they apply to the implementation of standards for interaction, color, typography, artwork, brand  alignment and all other visual/interactive expressions of the user experience
• Work closely with stakeholders to define and create designs that achieve business and user goals
• Design the UI architecture, interface, interaction flow and aesthetics of products and services
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, visual mockups and graphic assets
• Work with other team members on optimization of site, including creation, implementation and tracking of A/B and multivariate tests Plan, design and conduct regular usability test including 1:1 usability sessions, remote usability testing
• Translate usability and field research findings into design improvements
• Guide technical and business teams in user-centered design principles, and promote usability best practices
• Hire and manage 3rd party consultants and specialists as needed.   

You have...

• 5+ years of experience as a key member of a design team participating in the complete product development life-cycle of successfully launched consumer internet product
• Exceptionally skilled at user experience, interaction and visual design as demonstrated through a portfolio of past work
• Demonstrated experience designing social interactions
• Expert understanding of web usability best practices
• Understand how to apply human psychology to design in order to encourage desired behaviors and outcomes
• Experience working closely with product, marketing and technology teams
• Bias to action and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast paced start-up environment
• Optimization experience including creation, implementation and tracking of A/B and multivariate tests
• Strong grasp of underlying web application technologies: HTML, CSS,  DOM, and various JavaScript libraries (aka "Ajax")
• BS degree in graphic arts, interaction design, or a design related field desired
• Experience designing graphical user interfaces for a successful consumer-facing web product with millions of users would be a huge plus
